Nu stiu cum se face ca de fiecare data Halloweenul ma ia prin surprindere- cred ca de fapt asta e si scopul acestei sarbatori. Si anul asta s-a intamplat la fel. As fi vrut sa va prezint niste idei de costume pentru diseara, dar timpul nu mi-a permis. Nu puteam totusi sa va las fara un tutorial tocmai in aceasta zi. Asa ca azi vom face un mic accesoriu care promite sa faca o atmosfera potrivita petrecerii de diseara.
I don’t know why, but Halloween always seems to sneak up on me – actually I think that’s the very purpose of this holiday. This year was no different. I wanted to showcase some costume ideas for tonight, but there was no time.Yet, I couldn’t leave you without a tutorial, today of all days. So we’ll make a small accessory which promises to set the right mood for tonight’s party.

To make the Halloween lantern, you will need the following:
1. Borcan; 2. Hartie autocolanta printata cu diverse motive de Halloween; 3. Vopsea acrilica neagra; 4. Foarfeca; 5. Lumanare pastila; 6. Sarma; 7. Panglica neagra1. Jar; 2. Self-adhesive paper printed with various Halloween motifs; 3. Black acrylic paint; 4. Scissors; 5. Candle; 6. Wire; 7. Black ribbon

Cut out the shapes on the paper and stick them to the jar wherever you want. Try to get them all around, so as to cover the whole surface of the jar, and not just one side.
2. Vopsiti borcanul cu vopseaua neagra. Acoperiti-l in intregime, trecand si peste hartia lipita si daca este nevoie aplicati mai multe straturi, lasandu-le sa se usuce intre aplicari.
Paint the jar in black. Cover the entire surface, passing over the glued paper and if needed, apply more layers, letting them dry first.
3. Dupa ce s-a uscat de tot vopseaua dezlipiti formele de hartie. Veti vedea ca in aceste zone sticla a ramas transparenta iar in zonele vopsite sunt acum opace.
After the paint is completely dry, peel off the paper shapes. You’ll notice that in these areas the glass has remained transparent, and the painted areas are now opaque.
4. Puneti in centrul borcanului lumanarea pastila. Daca aveti in plan sa luati lanterna la plimbare va sfatuiesc sa o fixate cu un pic de lipici
Put the candle in the middle of the jar. If you’re planning to take the lantern out trick-or-treating, I recommend that you glue the candle to the bottom of the jar.
5. Legati in jurul gatului borcanului o bucata de sarma, infasurand-o de mai multe ori si securizand-o
Tie a piece of wire around the neck of the jar, wrapping it around several times and fastening it tightly.
6. Prin sarma din jurul borcanului introduceti acum o alta bucata de sarma de 20-25 cm si securizati-o la un capat. Faceti la fel si cu capatul celalat
Through this piece of wire attach another piece of wire, about 20-25 cm long and fasten it at one end. Do the same at the other end.
7. Legati o fundita din panglica neagra in jurul gatului borcanului. In acest fel ascundeti si sarma si arata si foarte dragut.
Tie a black ribbon bow around the neck of the jar. This way you can hide the wire and make it look super-cute.
Acum e gata de luat la colindat dupa dulciuri.
Now it’s ready to take trick-or-treating.
Iar diseara, cand ajung invitatii, plasati-l undeva langa un perete si aprindeti lumanarea. Efectul este foarte dragut si foarte Halloween.
And tonight, when your guests arrive, place it somewhere near a wall and light the candle. The effect is very cute and very Halloween-ish.
